I stayed at this accommodation, and first of all, the location is in an area surrounded by dirt and poverty. I don’t mention this as a criticism, but rather as a point of information. There is no direct access for cars—only motorbikes can reach the property.My experience was quite unsettling. Upon arrival at the hotel, early in the morning, the male receptionist told me he needed to check the price I had paid on Booking.com, as he felt it was too low. Obviously, the price was low because the conditions were very basic. He told me that if the price I paid was indeed below what they normally charge, I would need to pay more and do an upgrade—despite the fact that I didn’t choose the price myself. The rate was provided by platforms like Booking.com and Agoda.Another deeply concerning issue was that he wanted to keep my passport, saying that a man had previously stayed for two months without paying, so now they required physical IDs as a guarantee. This is not only illegal but also extremely abusive, especially considering I had already paid in advance.As for the room conditions, while I did have a bed—thank you for that—the state of the facilities was very poor. Everything was broken, it smelled terrible, and it was extremely dirty.That said, I want to highlight that the lady who helped me close the door was very kind, and I have nothing negative to say about her. I’m sharing this experience not out of anger, but with the hope that improvements can be made, so that perhaps I might return in the future.
